This Stage 5 clutch will fit the 2014-2016 Volkswagen GTI Mk VII/Golf R and will hold 820 lb/ft of torque at the flywheel. These kits feature our non-ratcheting billet pressure plates for a considerable load in crease over the ratcheting kits, while maintaining a friendly pedal requirement.
Stage Five
SPEC's strongest clutch is made specifically for drag racing high powered vehicles or applications that call for a "slipper" clutch/progressive torque-induced engagement. They feature an unsprung, rigid, iron disc that engages instantly and strongly. The kit comes with a high clamp pressure plate, iron disc assembly with install tool. This application does not utilize a conventional throwout bearing, as the releaser is a concentric hydraulic slave/bearing assembly.
These clutch kits are designed for use with SPEC flywheels SV50S-3 only.
SPEC Stage 5 Clutch Kit:
Features a full-metallic disc with the highest possible friction co-efficient. Street drivable but not street-friendly. The hub is solid 12-rivet and the assembly is heat treated for strength and durability.
