Pro Install Tips:
1. Before installing you new pulley you may want to verify your pulleys alignment referencing your original pulley with the new Gritpec Pulley.
2. For the Stainless socket cap screws use a 5mm allen wrench. Tq M6 Screws to 6-7 Ft-Lb
3. Do not use impacts for torquing the pulleys hardware. We recommend a proper calibrated tq wrench. Over torquing can lead to hardware failure.
4. When swapping multiple pulleys/rings for different setups, inspect the dried Loctite and remove excess cured Loctite before re applying new Loctite. This will ensure that the new Loctite cures and bonds to the screws and hub/receiver. Using a right angle pick, light wire brush or pipe cleaner helps removed buildup of old Loctite.
5. Follow your superchargers recommended TQ spec for the retention bolt or nut. We recommend using Loctite Blue or Red depending on your requirements.
6. Don’t use an impact on the main shaft bolt/nut for the Hub/Receiver over torquing can cause deformation of the hub or damage your shaft.
Why Use Griptec Pulleys:
GripTec ZPE utilizes two patented technologies to enhance surface grip: GripTec Micro and GripTec Weld. GripTec Micro uses a CNC ablation process to remove material from the pulley surface. The multi-directional machined ridges and valleys not only provide maximum gripping force but also serve as escape channels for trapped air and debris, improving the connection between the belt and the pulley. GripTec Weld infuses a blend of metals and engineered aggregates to achieve an optimal friction coefficient on the pulley surface. These combined methods create unique contact points between the belt and pulley ribs, resulting in an unparalleled grip that prevents belt slippage. (See pictures for examples)
