This Stage 2+ clutch will fit the 2011-2017 Ford Mustang 5.0L GT and Boss 302 and will hold 705 lbft. of torque at the flywheel. These clutch kits have the 9 bolt pressure plate cover pattern for use in cars beginning 3/2011 production or in a any car fitted with a 9 bolt pressure plate pattern flywheel.
Stage Two Plus
These clutches are great for all moderately modified naturally aspirated and power adder engines making more torque than the Stage 2 can support. The Stage 2+ offers great daily drivability and very good wear characteristics, but provides a higher torque capacity while maintaining Stage 2 feel. The kit comes with a high clamp pressure plate, hybrid Kevlar and carbon-graphite friction material clutch disc with a high torque sprung hub and disc assembly with install tool. This application does not utilize a conventional throwout bearing, as the releaser is a concentric hydraulic slave/bearing assembly.
These clutch kits are designed for use with stock flywheels or SPEC flywheels SF50S-9 or SF50A-9.
SPEC Stage 2+ Clutch Kit:
Features a multi-friction disc in a full faced configuration with carbon semi-metallic on one side and Kevlar on the other. Bridging the gap between stage 2 and stage 3, the 2+ offers drivability and engagement quality characteristic of the stage 2, but with a 15-20% higher torque capacity. The hub is double sprung with spring cover relieves for flexibility and heat treated components for strength and durability.
