This Stage 3 clutch will fit the 2009-2012 BMW 335 3.0L from production on 2/2009 and will hold 580 lbft. of torque at the flywheel. These kits feature a non-SAC mechanism pressure plate, which deviating from the original design, provides a lighter rotating assembly, higher rpm capability and greater clamp load levels. Required for the install is a billet rebuildable flywheel that features a lightweight, low MOI design and infinite rebuildability. The billet aluminum flywheel weighs 14lbs, and billet steel 22 lbs.
Stage Three
ULTIMATE STREET/STRIP CLUTCH!
Great for extreme street driving and medium to heavy drag strip use on heavily modified street and race engines. The Stage 3 clutch kit is a great solution for a high powered vehicle and has good wear characteristics under low and high stress usage, while still retaining the ability to shift sharp but with comfortable pedal feel and quick engagement. The kit comes with a high clamp pressure plate, 6 puck carbon semi-metallic clutch disc with high torque sprung hub and disc assembly with install tool. This application does not utilize a conventional throwout bearing, as the releaser is a concentric hydraulic slave/bearing assembly. The Stage 3 clutches come standard with a 6 puck disc on most applications, but a 3 puck disc can be specified when ordering.
These clutch kits are designed for use with SPEC flywheels SB53A-3 or SB53S-3. Spec flywheel is required for this kit.
SPEC Stage 3 Clutch Kit:
Features a carbon semi-metallic 6 or 4 (application dependent) puck sprung or solid hub disc that has been the leading puck clutch in drivability, life and torque capacity. This unit is designed for street and race cars that require an aggressive but streetable engagement and high torque capacity. The sprung hub (application dependent) version is double sprung with spring cover relieves for flexibility and heat treated components for strength and durability.
