This system is designed to work in trucks equipped with the OEM plastic fuel tanks only; some of the 1999 models may still have a steel tank, which will not fit this Phantom series. The 1999-2004 models with a plastic tank for which this Phantom is designed use a smaller factory opening than the later 2005-2017 models, which have their own series of Phantom drop in kits. The smaller opening in the 1999-2004 tanks does limit the pump configurations which will fit. These tanks will accommodate several pump options including; a single 340, a dual 340, and a single 450 pump. Any other combination of more/larger pumps will not physically fit through the factory tank opening.
The Silverado and Sierra tanks have a tank depth of approximately 14.00”, while the other models are shallower with depths around 8.25”. The Phantom systems will accommodate both.
Notes: Not configured for use with the OEM, pulse-modulated-to-pressure, pump control.
